Cut and glue the tissue paper to the pyramid. Cut 10 diamond shapes slightly larger than the 5 straw diamond from Step 3. Cover 2 entire sides of each pyramid with a piece of tissue paper. Wrap the edges around the straw and glue. Let dry.

Repeat Steps 2 through 5 nine more times. Tie the 10 pyramids together in a pyramid shape. There should be 6 pyramids on the lower level, 3 pyramids on the middle level and 1 pyramid on the top level. Make sure the tissue paper is all on the same side. This will catch the air and fly the kite.

Park in the free garage at the corner of Wall and Walnut or in the free lot two blocks west of Jackson and Gray, and head straight for The Emporium Center for Arts & Culture at 100 S. Gay Street. With 12 exhibits each year, its center gallerys mission is to showcase the diversity of art and culture being created locally including artistic works of quality aesthetic value, works that present new forms and ideas, and works that contribute significant knowledge in the understanding of art and culture. Built in 1898 as the original home of a prestigious furniture company, today the building houses the galleries as well as studios for area artists and administrative offices for the Arts & Culture Alliance, Circle Modern Dance, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and more.

Continue by foot to 113 S. Gay Street, home to Gallery 1010, the only fully student run, non-profit exhibition space in Tennessee. A gallery exclusively for University of Tennessee students, faculty and alumni, Director Michael Giles goal is to offer the university community and the growing downtown Knoxville gallery district with stimulating visual art experiences by consistently showcasing innovative, contemporary work.

Walk a few more blocks up to The Art Market Gallery at 422 S. Gay Street. Decorated with pieces for sale by more than 60 area artists and craftspeople, this less-contemporary gallery features paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel and mixed media as well as woodcuts, basketry, jewelry, sculptures and beveled/fused glass. The Art Market holds two membership juries a year.

Head across the street to Yee-Haw Industries, one of the most unique art-based businesses in downtown Knoxville. Owners Kevin Bradley and Julie Belcher wanted to funnel their graphic design experience into a more hands-on process. Great respecters of the way the Gutenberg Bible was made, they bought an antique printing press and opened a letterpress art print shop and studio. Today they custom make traditionally hand-rolled posters, signs and invitations, and their studio is covered wall to ceiling with samples and drawers of wood-carved type.

Head to Market Square, just a few blocks over, for a quick peek--and a little shopping--at Bliss, Bliss Home & Art, World Grotto and Vagabondia, all offering First Friday discounts on home good, gifts and local art. For dinner, check out La Costa, the first restaurant in the square, a Latino and Southern restaurant with a menu full of organic produce, full-range beef and chicken, and non-farm seafood. With peppered jumbo shrimp, seared wild boar tenderloin and fennel crusted salmon, La Costa is a healthy and eclectic alternative to chain dining. How to Transport an Ice Fishing House

Whether you call it an ice house, shack or shanty, you still need to haul it out on the ice every winter and back in again before the spring thaw. Although an ice "house" is generally bigger and semi-permanent compared to a lightweight shelter or shanty, ideally you can still move it easily on the ice to wherever the fish may are biting.

Fasten two parallel 2-by-4 inch or 2-by-6 inch boards on the bottom of the shack. These are the skids, or runners, that allow you to move your ice house while on the ice. Some houses come with wheels that you can crank up and down to lower the house onto the ice or lift above the ice for easy moving.

Round the ends of the runners to avoid digging into snow and ice. Or, if you want it to really glide, fasten an old pair of cross country skis to the boards. Cross country skis are better than downhill models because they curve up at the front.

Back up your truck, flatbed trailer or tilt bed trailer to the finished ice house. Tilt the house slowly onto the truck or trailer bed. You can avoid this step if you construct the house directly on the trailer.

Winch or slide the house the rest of the way onto the bed until it's centered over the axle of the trailer, or as far as it will go on the bed of a truck. You can place PVC piping or thick wooden dowels crosswise on the trailer bed to assist in rolling the house into position, but you shouldn't leave them underneath during transportation.

Reverse the process in Step 4 once you're ready to unload the ice house. Unload it runner-side down. If you're unable to drive directly onto the ice in your vehicle, use a snowmobile to transport it to and from your truck, or to other spots on the ice.
