Scour thrift shops, estate sales and resale shops for a pair of shoes to serve as the foundation for your witch shoes. Look for ankle high, lace-up boots in black leather with a tapered or chunky heel. Choose a pair that is well worn.

Remove the lace from the shoes and use fine grade sandpaper and lightly scuff the entire surface. Fashion a cone-shaped extension for the toe using a fine-mesh sculpting wire. Size the base of the cone that fits snugly over the toe of the shoe and extends out about 4 inches.

Hand-shape the wire armature on each shoe so the extended toe is slightly flattened and curves upward. Wrap the armature in narrow strips of black cotton fabric. Use a hot glue gun to fasten the ends of the strips on the underside of the armature.
