How to Create a Dream Board

How to Create a Dream Board

A dream board, also known as a vision board, is a way of displaying and reminding yourself of your goals. Visual representations often invoke more emotion than simply writing down or speaking your aspirations aloud. The process of creating a dream board is also what makes it special; spend time thinking about what your board should contain and how you would like it represented. When your board is finished, place it in a spot where you will see it on a daily basis, and spend time vocalizing the mantra you write on it.

Instructions

    1

Choose a central focus for your dream board. This could be a goal you have, something you want, maybe something you want to change about yourself. Anything is viable with a vision board.

    2

Search through your magazines for phrases, pictures, words, and anything that is related to your dreams or goals. If you cannot find what you're looking for, you can also search on the Internet, printing out your findings for use. Cut out your findings to later paste or tape onto the board.

    3

Outline your poster board with either the yellow felt pen or yellow glitter. This yellow symbolizes that you are surrounding your vision board with the light necessary to make your vision come true.

    4

Write a positive and inspiring phrase somewhere on the board using the black felt pen. This phrase should be motivating, such as "This or something better now manifests for me in divine and appropriate timing."

    5

Tape or paste a photo or a representation of yourself to the middle of your board, and surround it with your cut-outs and prints on all other areas of the poster board.

    6

Decorate your board with any designs that might fit the dream you chose. Hang the dream board up somewhere where you will see it and remember your dreams.
