The Kushi Institute was founded by Michio and Aveline Kushi in 1978 to promote awareness and education of the macrobiotic lifestyle. Located in Becket, Massachusetts, a New England town nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, the weeklong Kushi Institute Summer Conference continues to grow in popularity among macrobiotic devotees. Participants can choose from among more than 100 seminars, activities and events.

Study the class descriptions to decide which of the classes you are most interested in attending. Some of the classes fill up quickly, so it is best to register early. In addition to programs for adults, the Kushi Institute Summer Conference also offers a children's program for children ages 3-6, 7-11 and 12-17.
